Fugger Chamber

Typical parlour and chamber of the time (sleeping quarters)

The „privacy“ (toilette), which was very rare at that time, can be seen in the depths of the outer walls.

The furniture consists of a Gothic bed with poles, several ornamented chests, a desk with Gothic folding chair, as well as one of the most valuable pieces of furniture in the German speaking area: the Reifensteiner Chest (Southern Tyrol around 1460).

Paintings by Albrecht Duerer’s pupil Georg Penz, and an illustration of the Golden Roof in Innsbruck.
